Trail Teck LED Dog Collar & Leash Set for Night Visibility & Safety

When outdoor adventures extend into the evening, visibility becomes essential. The Trail Teck LED Dog Collar is designed to help keep your dog seen, identifiable, and safer in low-light conditions, making nighttime walks, campground outings, and early-morning adventures more secure.

Built with a USB-rechargeable LED light system, this collar provides bright, consistent illumination that helps improve visibility around roads, trails, campsites, and shared outdoor spaces. Whether you’re walking at dusk, letting your dog move around camp after sunset, or navigating low-light environments, this set adds an extra layer of safety without adding bulk.

High-Visibility Lighting for Low-Light Conditions

The integrated LED lighting helps your dog stand out in the dark, making them easier to spot from a distance. This is especially useful during evening walks, early morning outings, or nighttime campground activity.

USB Rechargeable Convenience

Designed for convenience, the LED collar is USB rechargeable, eliminating the need for disposable batteries. Simply recharge before your next outing to keep your dog visible on the trail or around camp.

Lightweight & Comfortable Design

Made from durable nylon fabric, the collar and leash are lightweight and comfortable for everyday wear. The design provides visibility without restricting movement or causing discomfort during walks or outdoor use.

Ideal Safety Add-On for Outdoor Adventures

This collar and leash set works best as a supplement to primary walking gear, adding visibility during low-light conditions while pairing easily with hands-free leashes, camping setups, or travel routines.

  • Evening and early-morning dog walks
  • Camping and campground visibility
  • Low-light outdoor environments
  • Travel and roadside stops

Good for the money

Collar lasted about 2 years of irregular use before the bulb burned out.For the price it’s great, the green is definitely the brightest option.Brand new it’s so bright it’s hard to look at in the dark but it eventually starts burning out.

Brightly Lit Nighttime Collar

Bright Green Light for Nightime Walks! My 3 month old puppy is well lit when I slip this collar over his head at night. Great price for a temporary nighttime collar. Adjustable and rechargeable. Of note, I wouldn’t use this as his regular collar.

10/10!

I ordered two collars size LARGE. Took my dogs out tonight for a walk ! 10/10 with brightness. They are made of good thick material. Easy charge type C charger. You can adjust the size of the collar also if you need it more tight. Great purchase soft & easy to remove.

Almost but not quite Chihuahua approved

I can’t account for durability but I love the idea of this light up collar. Unfortunately it was too large/bulky for my 12 lb chihuahua so I’ll be returning. It was hard to predict how it would fit or look on her without trying it first so I’ll attach pictures for reference. I like the idea that it’s rechargeable and the button is easy to change between colors, slow fade, fast color cycle. I’ll probably end up getting a small light to clip on her harness instead. I would say this small size would work great on a medium size bulkier dog

Faux USB C: The USB C connector is physical match only ( not USB standards compliant USB C)

The differentiating feature of this collar is advertised as USB-C charging. Unfortunately, that claim is misleading. When the box arrived, it stated: “Use cord provided.” That immediately signals that this is not a standards-compliant USB-C implementation, rather it's "Faux USB C".We paid roughly $10 more (almost 2× the price) specifically to simplify our lives—to be able to charge this device using the same USB-C chargers and cables we already use for phones and other modern devices.True USB-C charging is not just a connector shape. Proper USB-C implementations include communication between the device and the charger (via CC pins and, in many cases, cable e-markers) so that voltage and current are safely negotiated. That is the entire point of USB-C as a standard. This collar does not implement that behavior. Instead, it uses the physical shape of a USB-C connector while electrically behaving like a legacy USB-A, fixed 5 V device. The manufacturer therefore instructs users to charge it only with a USB-A → USB-C cable, because USB-A implicitly limits power and avoids negotiation entirely = Faux USB-C.The product creates a new failure mode. A well-meaning usercould reasonably plug this into a normal USB-C charger with a USB-C-to-USB-C cable—exactly what the connector suggests is correct—and remove an important safety backstop that the USB-C standard was designed to provide.Rather than simplifying charging, this design adds complexity:• a dedicated cable,• a dedicated charger,• and “folklore” knowledge about what not to plug it into (dog walkers, visiting family members, etc.).That is the opposite of what USB-C is supposed to accomplish. The standards committee and engineers who designed USB-C put significant thought into preventing exactly this kind of ambiguity. Using the connector without implementing the standard undermines those safeguards. The good news: LED dog collars are inexpensive. The bad news: in a price-competitive market like this, micro-USB is actually the safer and more honest choice in 2026 if full USB-C compliance is not implemented. My hope is that marketplaces and manufacturers become more precise in how they label USB-C compatibility. If a product is not safe to charge with a standard USB-C charger and cable, it should not be marketed as USB-C—because that removes a critical safety net the standard was designed to provide. I am not an engineer and have no friends or contacts involved in setting USB standards or involved with products that use the standards. I would like fewer connectors in my life, though.

Don’t think it’s supposed to do this but I kinda like it…

FIRST: collar fits, easy to charge instructions and the LED is bright. Love that you can’t see the individual lights. Now, I do believe mine is “broken”. As you cycle through the color options it does a gradient (red to yellow, red to purple/pink). (SEE PHOTO)If you try to have the cool color, like blue, only a portion lights up; the rest of the light fades. (SEE VIDEO)I’m honestly not mad at the LED gradient since the collar technically works and the gradients are actually pretty. My only con: the silicone bit that seals the charging port does not stay shut all the time. I’ve gone to take off the collar and it’s been open a few times.

No more dark walks! Nice and bright!

I needed a light for our dark 5:30 pm walks, and after seeing someone in the neighborhood with one, I decided to go on a search. I went with this one and we are so happy! The light is bright and there are options if you want blinking or not. It has a rechargeable battery and it is very light weight. The size is a little big for my dog, but I am just using it for the light, so the size does not impact my review. It seems to be durable, and I have included a photo to show how well it works emitting light.

Love it!!

Mega bright!!! ... I do wish that it would be more like on the picture and the light being a line rather than 'dots' ... but it is very bright and even shows good in daylight.

Super bright is not an exaggeration

This collar is nuclear bright. It definitely needs a dimmer. Cant look directly at my pup because its like having a flashlight shined into my eyes. Absolutely destroys night vision.Used it two hours straight out of the box without charging it. Battery life seemsgood so far and it feels very durable.Only giving it 4 stars because the brightness is brutal.

I purchased to replace a battery operated collar and it needed replaced. Based on other reviews I opted to get the green for max brightness. We do go for walks in a park in the evening and he is off leash, this definitely helps keep a closer eye on him. I bought the medium for my dog, he's around 60 pounds. I wasn't expecting the collar to only have 1 point of light to go around the whole collar, the collar seems kind of dim towards the one end, so depending on how my dog is facing I can't see him that well. Although I do like the look of the collar, I wasnt expecting a whole collar with a D ring for his tags, plugged it in and it took not even 20 minutes and it's fully charged. We dont run it continuously but even in our fence in yard, it's much quicker to find him. He's constantly rolling in stuff, playing in water, getting hosed, and this collar has held up to the test so far, very functional and durable. Also looks great even when the light isn't on.

PERFECT for dark & active dogs

I've bought a few light-up collars from two different venders/brands. But with a new puppy, who's sometimes very impatient to get outside when he has to "go", I needed something MORE.I wasn't sure what "more" I needed, at the time. But I sure figured it out when I got this one!I've now ordered this particular brand four times, in several different colors.WHY four times?<> Because I have three dogs; a 12-yr-old Vizsla (Lilly), a 3.5-yr-old female GSD (Mila), & A 3-MONTH-old male GSD (Maks).Lilly's collar is purple, Mila's pink, & Maks's green (& black)... BC, he's growing; so I wasn't sure on size/color.These collars are hands down superior to the precious model/brand I've gotten.PROS:1] DURABLE woven band.> That's also flexible enough for playtime (bitey-face) give, and sooo much easier to add a metal ID tag.> the aforementioned "bitey-face" game my 2 GSD's like to play?? The collar has kept its integrity; no fraying, no broken lights, no clasp failures.2] BRIGHT!> with two Sable GSD's, who I can't see in the dark, this this is a God-send!!> See black-out PIC...<> THAT'S Maks, my 3-mo-old GSD. Off to the left of the pic is my front porch. I'm litterally 2 feet from him. You can't see HIM, But that collar is super bright.3] QUICK ACTIVATION;> prior collar I had to hold for 3 seconds to turn on. This one is a single quick press & its on!<> FIRST press: Quick flashing (like car blinkers)<> SECOND press: slow flash (like firefly bug)<> THIRD press: solid light, no flash.<> FOURTH press: Off.4] SIZING. LARGE ADJUSTABLE RANGE:> Got a Large for Mila & small for Maks.> But... see "sizing" in CONS for downside.5] BATTERY LIFE:> not only long-lasting (up to two weeks between charges), it's a quick charge.> Typical charge time (in my experience) has been 6-hrs for a fully dead battery.... 2-3 hrs for a dying battery.<> you'll know when it's dying, the bright light starts to dim; noticeably.CONS:1] QUICK LIGHT-UP:> although in the "pros" section, there is a con. During play time, my GSD'S have accidentally activated the lights.> and if left on, it will drain battery faster.<> but bc quick-flash is first, it's pretty noticeable.2] SIZING:> the circumference measurements are long & Mila actually needed a medium.<> yet, the large was adjustable enough to fit without slippage.> The small is very small.<> HOWEVER perfect for Maks at first, he's quickly outgrown it.For large breeds dogs @3-6 months...I RECOMEND: MEDIUM SIZE.As for COMFORT?> I mean, I'm not a dog, so IDK if it's comfortable... but Maks transitioned easily into wearing it. Meaning, he didn't get agitated & try to wiggle out it.> SO... I think it's pretty comfortable.<> it does have a tendency to cause their coat/hair around the nape to get a little matted... but that's become a thing w my GSD's. Lilly has no coat issues.OVERALL:This is a reasonable price for the quality of craftsmanship. And as long as the vender continues to put quality first, I will buy more products.I'm so satisfied with their collars, I bought a light-up leash! So, yes, I not only recommend...I recommend EMPHATICALLY 😁👍🏾...DARK PIC NOTE:<> I'm about 2Ft away from Maks.VIDEO NOTE:<> I'm about 12-15 ft away from Maks.(We have a one-acre yard)

Great collar

In the dark this collar glows great. I have a black female dog who I bought the pink one for so I can see her at night. It's a very well made collar.

Great collar that has lasted a long time

Use it nightly to keep track of my black Cocker Spaniel, otherwise he disappears. Also us it on nighttime walks to keep vehicles alerted to his presence.

Life saving… literally

I work at night, and one night was driving and someone’s dog darted out in the road infront of me. I was on back roads so there were no lights. Thankfully that person had one of these on their dog and I was able to stop in time. I would not have seen the dog otherwise. I immediately added these to my cart for my pups at home. I also live in a dark area. So it’s perfect for bonfires when the dogs are out in the yard.

Love it!

We got this collar for our black GSD and years ago and it worked amazing. The light started to be less bright no so we just got another one. It fits perfect, easy to adjust, charges really fast and last one lasted 3 years so I would say they are pretty durable.

Stopped charging after a few months.

Worked great while it lasted. Easy to put on and take off but after a few months, it stopped charging and is now in the trash. We only charged it when it started to dim a noticeable amount. It was nice and bright and made it easier to see my dog but I wish it would have worked longer.
