Trail Teck Hands-Free Dog Leash for Hiking & Running

This leash works great with dogs that pull on a leash really hard! I usually don’t take my dog on walks because he pulls the leash too hard, and by the end of our walks, my arm was ready to fall off. This solved all those problems! The bungee cording allowed for him to pull and not kill my back/hips. I also liked the fanny pack part, where I kept some treats and doggie waste bags. Although just know that the fanny pack is tiny!!

I’ve bought the same leash twice now and BOTH HAVE BROKEN (the leash snapped) within a month of purchase. Low quality. Spend your money elsewhere.

Really great addition for running with my dog, but durability was a dealbreaker.Pros:• Perfect size for phone, hat, gloves, extra poop bags, etc. and it doesn’t feel bulky or get in the way while running• Poop bags pull out easily once loaded• Belt is easy to adjust and fits well over a thin layer or multiple layers, including a winter coat• Leash is a good length, liked the stretchiness of the materialCons:• Durability: both hand holds tore within a few months, then the bag itself ripped and became unusable after about 6 months of normal use• Minor nuisance: the first set of poop bags can be tricky to feed in

Best Dog Leash! The elastic cord is great for when my dog is pulling, to re-direct her to me. I love the ability to go hands free when walking and the two handles for when I need to keep her close to me, and the pouch is perfect for holding my phone, poop bags, house key, etc. when you don’t have pockets on you!

We have had this since June of 2025 and have used it intermittently until recently. I would say it works as expected. My dog had to get used to the extra handle near him because it was just a different sensation, he's a 10 lb chihuahua, BTW. All was going great with the leash until this week. While walking the clip just unclipped from my dogs harness. I thought it was my fault, that I didn't clip it correctly, so I reclipped it and continued. It then happened again, the leash came off the harness. Looking at it closer the clip on the leash easily opens up just enough by itself to cause the problem. I will contact the seller to see if I can get a replacement and revise my review.Follow up 1/22/25: I contacted the seller and they fully replaced the item. They were quick to respond and followed up as they promised. I changed my rating based on my interaction.

Was trying to buy a iPhone case but saw there were some who always complained.So I thought I’m gonna pick something I know is flawless and see if there are any neg reviews .So I picked this leash and sure enough there are people who said it broke .That let me know what I suspected.These people are ——- And or maybe from a competitor.I have 2 of these through, one for 15 pound pup and one for 20+ pounds .Both are AWESOME, very well made , great elastic , reinforced D rings and fasteners.Double stitched reinforcement at all points .This allows both hands to be free to carry or hold the leash if my smaller pup while the sleigh puller goes out in front .Swivels around easily when pup goes around me .Like I said I wanted to pick something I had bought that was better than expected to see if people were ——-and this is the item .

I bought this recently and I can say that it is quite functional, lightweight, and practical. However, the issue I had was with the zipper on the main pouch. Apparently the stitching came undone, and when I pulled the zipper to close it, the zipper pull came off in my hand because it popped out of place from the zipper teeth. I have used it 2 times, it could be a minor defect, but this has been my experience, extra effort to repair/sew it.

It's a great concept/ idea. My dog is a puller so having it attached to my waist saves my hands and arms. The only reason for the lower rating is because the handles are coming loose. I've only used this for 2 weeks. I'd expect it to last longer than that, especially as it's designed for large dogs.

This is the finest dog leash I have ever used. It is robust and highly compatible with having a Belgian Malinois!

After using the leash for a week, I will say that buying a handless leash was totally worth it! I love that I finally have the ability to go on a walk and not get dragged by my 50 lb fur baby. But I will provide my honest review.Positives: I enjoy the color, quality, and length with this leash. I also enjoy the built in bungee cord effect when the pups want to run. I feel like this has saved my back in many ways. Although my back still gets hurt when the pups start pulling me, im thankful some of the shock factor gets absorbed. I do also appreciate the extra handles with this set. When my pups won’t move, or they are fixated on a certain item, these handles help refocus their attention.Negatives: Since the strap that goes around the body is not padded, as mentioned above lit can hurt when the pups pull me, so that’s not been a very pleasant feeling to deal with. I also wish the hook loops were able to twist 360°, this would prevent having to untwist the leashes when my dogs get indecisive about what side of me they want to walk on. The fact that the leashes continue to intertwine gets annoying.Although I have mixed emotions about my purchase, my dogs are happy and my arm is no longer in pain from being pulled on walks! So I’ll be keeping my purchase. This is a great price for the product you get, but I’ll still be praying for a better back support/padding enhancement down the road.

One of them is the kind you would use for keys etc, the other is a solid ring. These are just things I had around the house. Works fantastic! The boys can switch sides all they like, no issues.My boys are 15 & 18 lbs, I don't think this would work for smaller dogs then that as the weight of the leash and hooks would be to heavy. Would not use for large dogs either, probably suitable for medium dogs. The bungee is soft and forgiving but strong.The case is really nice. Has a net just inside the front zipper where the poop bag hole is, to keep them from rolling around and mixing in with treats. The main compartment is roomy enough for phone, tissues for your nose cause it's cold outside 😉, gloves etc.I gave it 4 stars because I don't like the style hooks. I think they are a bit hard to unhook. Other than that I would recommend.

I hooked up to my two dogs and they almost dragged me to see another dog. My dogs need better training, but works good

I love this leash. It’s so practical for hands free walking and the pouch is perfect for keeping poop bags and a few small things. It’s a good length too for better control. I thought it was kinda short at first but it’s actually not too bad.

I know this review is months late, but I didn't know how it would turn out for us after not having to wear winter clothing etc. The fanny pack falls off of me. There is not way to make it smaller around my waist just wearing shorts, work out clothes etc in warmer weather. Please try to make your product more smaller persons friendly. I am 5.3 and don't weigh past 105 on a good day.

Best leash ever. I'm dog sitting my energetic "granddog" and I walk everyday. I bought this so I could be hands free to swing my arms. It is perfect! It fits my waist and she says close. It gives a bit of slack but can be shortened in two different places. Great for walking a dog if you need to carry something.

Adjustable enough to stay on my hips and gives my fur baby just enough room to walk or run with me. The double handles makes it easy to grab the leash when needed. And the bag isn't too bulky.

This leash works great for running and keeps my hands free! Not too long, and not too short that I'll trip over my dog while running. For 2 years I have run with a leash switching hands to hold the leash and my arm gets tired. It is annoying. This leash is very sturdy with an adjustable waist. Great for day or night running. It's really reflective. “pink” color is neon. bonus is the bag where I can hold dog treats and my phone. There's also a hole for doggie poop bags.
